- Butter - Unsalted
- 3/4 Cup
- Sugar - Dark Brown
- 5 Tbsp
- Brandy
- 1/4 tsp
- Nutmeg - Ground
Brandy Butter is traditionally served with Christmas Pudding or Mince Pies. It is very rich and a little goes a long way. Brandy butter will keep for several weeks in the refrigerator.
- Warm the butter slightly to soften
- Cream the butter and sugar until smooth
- Gradually stir in the brandy then add the nutmeg
- Beat thoroughly then transfer the mixture to a dish or small pot
- Cover and allow to harden before serving
