Cream - Heavy Whipping
2 Tbsp
Butter
Creamy Tomato Sauce

This wonderful Italian creamy tomato sauce is a perfect accompaniment to our Chianti Braised Short Ribs

  1. Finely chop the shallots and garlic
  2. In a saucepan, saute onion and garlic in olive oil over medium heat
  3. Add tomatoes, basil, sugar, oregano, salt and pepper
  4. Bring to boil and continue to boil 5 minutes or until most of the liquid evaporates
  5. Remove from heat and stir in whipping cream and butter.
  6. Return to heat and simmer 5 more minutes
