Curate’s Cheek (Ham with Piquant Sauce)

Incredibly quick and easy to prepare, this meal is fit for any guest who arrives on short notice.

The Brown Sugar and Mustard combine to make a wonderfully piquant sauce for the ham. Serve it with wild rice and salad.

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F
  2. Thickly slice the ham
  3. Mix the sugar and mustard in a small bowl
  4. Place the ham in a small ovenproof dish and sprinkle about a tablespoon of the sugar and mustard mixture over each slice
  5. Put the remaining mixture on the top slice then add the cream
  6. Bake covered for 20 minutes then uncovered for an additional 10 minutes
  7. Put a little watercress on each plate before serving
