- Cloves
- 1 Tbsp
- Parsley - Fresh

Carrots taste wonderful when cooked correctly. This recipe gives the carrots an unusual caramelized flavor.
- Pare the carrots and cut into 2-inch long slices
- Finely chop the parsley
- Place carrots in a wide bottomed saucepan
- Add the water, butter, sugar, cloves and season with a little salt and pepper
- Bring to a boil and cook covered at a steady boil for 5 minutes
- Continue to cook uncovered until the carrots are tender and the liquid has turned thick and syrupy.
- Add the parsley and serve
