Glazed Carrots

Carrots taste wonderful when cooked correctly. This recipe gives the carrots an unusual caramelized flavor.

  1. Pare the carrots and cut into 2-inch long slices
  2. Finely chop the parsley
  3. Place carrots in a wide bottomed saucepan
  4. Add the water, butter, sugar, cloves and season with a little salt and pepper
  5. Bring to a boil and cook covered at a steady boil for 5 minutes
  6. Continue to cook uncovered until the carrots are tender and the liquid has turned thick and syrupy.
  7. Add the parsley and serve
