Glazed Onions

A simple yet delicious side dish

  1. Peel the onions
  2. Melt butter in a large saucepan until it sizzles
  3. Add the onions and toss them around for a few minutes until they turn slightly brown.
  4. Sprinkle the sugar over the onions and continue to toss them over a low heat until they are completely covered with a sticky layer of sugar
  5. Add the broth and simmer until the stock evaporates, leaving a thick glaze that covers the onions. This will take about 15 minutes.
  6. Shake the pan from time to time during cooking then serve very hot,
