Leeks with Brown Butter

A quick, simple Welsh dish which you’ll find remarkably delicious

  1. Clean the leeks by washing them under water and cutting away both the roots and tops of the green leaves
  2. Plunge the leeks into a pan of boiling water and boil for 10 minutes
  3. Before removing, test to make sure they are cooked by piercing with a knife
  4. Drain and place in a serving dish
  5. Melt the butter in a separate pa then cook it until it sizzles and turns golden brown
  6. Add the breadcrumbs, lemon juice, and salt then pour over the leeks
