- Butter - Unsalted
- 2 Cup
- Sugar - Dark Brown
- 3/4 Cup
- Rum
- 1/4 tsp
- Nutmeg - Ground

This makes a nice alternative to Brandy Butter and is frequently served in Northern England.
- Warm the butter slightly to soften
- Cream the butter and sugar until smooth
- Gradually stir in the rum and add the nutmeg
- Beat thoroughly and transfer to a dish or small pot
- Allow to harden before serving
