This sauce goes very well with pork chops, ham or venison
To make this sauce you will first need to make a Basic Brown Sauce
- Prepare the basic brown sauce then set aside
- Place the cider, cloves and bay leaves in a saucepan
- Bring to a boil and boil vigorously until the liquid is reduced by half
- Strain the liquid then add to the basic brown sauce
- Season to taste with salt and pepper
- Heat until just below boiling then serve
